Today, the Dubai Government has given approval to the designs for the upcoming passenger terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport. We are embarking on the construction of this facility, with an allocated budget of AED 128 billion, aligning with the strategic vision of the Dubai Aviation Corporation.

Al Maktoum International Airport is poised to become the largest in the world, with a capacity to accommodate up to 260 million passengers. It will dwarf the current Dubai International Airport by fivefold, signaling a significant expansion in our aviation infrastructure. Plans are underway to gradually shift all operations from Dubai International Airport to Al Maktoum International Airport in the forthcoming years. The new facility will boast 400 aircraft gates and will be equipped with five parallel runways, integrating cutting-edge aviation technologies.

As we lay the groundwork for a burgeoning cityscape surrounding the airport in Dubai South, the demand for housing to accommodate a million residents is anticipated to soar. This development will serve as a magnet for top-tier corporations in the logistics and air transport industries, solidifying Dubai’s position as a global leader in these sectors.

Our endeavors are not merely focused on the present; rather, we are charting a course for future generations. Through sustainable and robust development initiatives, we aim to provide a stable and prosperous future for our children and their descendants. Dubai aspires to be the quintessential global destination, encompassing not only an international airport but also a thriving port, a vibrant urban center, and a hub of innovation and progress.
