Donald Trump, the former US President, has disclosed the schedule for unveiling his vice presidential nominee for the upcoming November elections.

In an interview with FOX 6 Milwaukee, the likely Republican nominee stated on Wednesday, “I’ll make the selection, but likely not long before the convention, which is taking place in the wonderful state of Wisconsin.”

When asked if he needed someone else to campaign on his behalf, Trump, aged 77, stated firmly, “I don’t believe so,” adding, “I think we’re spreading the message effectively.” It’s worth noting that Milwaukee is set to host the Republican National Convention from July 15th to 18th. Traditionally, the vice presidential nominee delivers a speech to the delegates on the eve of the convention’s conclusion.

In the week preceding the convention in 2016, Trump chose then-Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate, suggesting a likelihood of sticking to a similar timeline this time.

The Republican leader also addressed his current legal proceedings regarding hush money in New York, emphasizing that he is not hastening the selection process for his running mate due to his upcoming court appearance in Manhattan. Trump faces accusations of concealing payments made as hush money to former adult film star Stormy Daniels.Although Trump has consistently expressed his preferences for a running mate, he has refrained from divulging specific details about his potential VP and the exact date when he will officially announce his choice.
