Delhivery, a logistics firm, plans to venture into the drone manufacturing and drone delivery services sector by establishing a new subsidiary.
This subsidiary, named Delhivery Robotics Private Limited, will be fully owned by the company and is proposed to have an authorized capital of Rs 5 crore.
The company’s strategic approach will encompass four key areas. Initially, it will concentrate on research and development in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, exploring diverse form factors and payload capabilities to attain type certification and facilitate commercialization.
Moreover, the company aims to provide drone-as-a-service (DaaS) solutions for shipment transportation and remote sensing, offering sophisticated logistical and data collection capabilities.
Lastly, the company will undertake the establishment of drone pilot training programs and emphasize global manufacturing, production, and sales of drones.
